Gee, was it October the last time I posted? Much too long! Well, I’m off hiatus now.
I wasn’t intending to take a hiatus from the fiction blog, or from that side of my social media network, either. I just got quite busy on the business side. Some of what I was doing over there might bore you, but other things might be of interest.
One item that might be of interest is a podcast I’ve been running over on the business site called Copy This!. This was the line of taxis in the park Friday night when it was raining.
We survived another week of Phoenix Open. That makes my 16th year living inside the insanity zone. But we survived. I can’t say so much for the soccer park used as parking lots. The rain on Friday and the taxi traffic waiting for golf attendees and also the Kid Rock concert at the Birds Nest to let out tore the crap out of the fields, especially around the perimeter. I can’t imagine anyone will be playing soccer there until April at the earliest with the 6-inch deep ruts that were left behind.
The photo to the left was taken out the door to my back balcony. It was raining on and off all day, so you can imagine what that did to the turf. Click on the picture to get a better look.
The Phoenix Open is always an adventure. We never got onto hole 16, didn’t even try this year. With the Superbowl in town on the same weekend, the entire metro Phoenix area was crazy.
