While the business side took a bit of a rest this past week while my parents were in town, I did manage to start scraping the cobwebs away from my short fiction writing skills.
I finished a slightly longer than flash fiction story called Old Rock Stars last week and started the submission rounds with it. I began another short story last night and added more today. The second one is sitting at 2000 words and the action is about to heat up.
I’m probably going to make a push for ten new short stories (the second of which I am working on) before I go back to working on novels. My short fiction output has been pathetic over the past six years for reasons too involved to go into right now. I have a few agenda items on the short fiction side I want to clean up.
