It was an ugly and sloppy game, a game in which the Cardiac Cardinals earned that name. They allowed a team to score more than 20 points for the first time since deep into last season. (The Dolphins scored 21). The Cards kept it close and came through with clutch plays despite ruining opportunities to put the Dolphins away earlier.
The defense was softer than it has been, allowing two touchdowns and a 2-point conversion. The offense looked terrible in the first have, but had some lively and fast drives in the second half.
I’ll say one thing for this team: it does not choke in the face of pressure. They came back to tie in the 4th quarter and went on to win in overtime.
This game should not have been this close.
