The secret is out. Arizona has a very good defense. They have allowed 40 points through the first three games of the season, defeating New England on the road, and now Philadelphia at home. The Eagles scored only two field goals, and both were fairly long. People are starting to notice.
As I said on Saturday, getting the ball to Larry Fitzgerald and holding the Eagles under 20 points would be key. Fitz had 9 receptions and a touchdown, the Eagles were only allowed 6 points. Cardinals won 27-6.
The Cardinals scored only 3 points int he second half, but it could have easily been more. They received the ball at the start of the second half and immediately began to milk the clock. With the big lead, the defense used the entire field to help run that clock down. Teams are now starting to believe the Cardinals are for real, and that beating New England in Foxboro was no fluke.
