I spent much of yesterday at LepreCon 36 in Mesa, Arizona. I’m on program but I had nothing scheduled for friday. That allowed me to simply sit in panels and listen the way I did before I started being invited to be a participant.
At the meet the guests party, I had a nice informal discussion with Melinda Snodgrass and George R. R. Martin, along with George’s wife, about bad Mexican and Chinese food we’ve had in Europe. George is a friendly guy and quite affable.
Today’s schedule is a bit more formal. I have to earn my access to the staff lounge and the free food. I start with a panel on social media, sharing the duties with Jack Mangan and Ken St. Andre, the inventor of Tunnels and Trolls.
At 12:30 I have a reading. at 4:30 a signing, and at 7:00 a panel on being an author in the 21st century with Michael A. Stackpole, Adam Niswander and Rick Cook. I’ll get a chance to pump my ebook “eBooks for the 21st Century Author” which is available for free download in my “free stuff” area.
