Entropy Central

Store is Live

Today I finally got the eshop running well enough to declare it open for business, despite that being somewhat misleading.  The shelves are stocked with one product, a PDF version of my short story “How to Thwart a Dictator.”  It’s a humorous story that originally appeared in Tales of the Talisman a couple years ago.

The story is listed in the eshop for $0.99 and you can buy it through PayPal, but I also have it available as a free download.  If you’d like to download and read it, hover your cursor over the “Catalog” tab and click on “Free Stuff.”  You’ll be able to download the PDF version of the story immediately.

I also added an addicting little game widget to the sidebar of all pages except this blog page.  It’s called Poktris–sort of a cross between poker and Tetris.  The only thing I don’t like is that despite asking for your name, it doesn’t appear to do anything with the high scores.  The listing is always bland, and it’s not just my site.  I sought out the game elsewhere and had the same problem.  There are other games, so it may switch eventually.  Most of the other games have sound that starts as soon as you load the web site.  That annoyed me the first time it happened, so I went back to Pokris, which runs in complete silence.
